Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Priority Local Pickup We always prefer and encourage families to pick up their puppy directly from our home. This allows you to meet us, see where your puppy was raised, and ensures the most stress-free transition for your new companion.

2. Ground Transport & Flight Nanny Options If you live out of state or region and cannot drive to our location, we offer safe, professional transportation alternatives:

  • Authorized Ground Transport: We work exclusively with trusted, USDA-licensed pet transport companies who provide climate-controlled vehicles, frequent exercise stops, and round-the-clock care.
  • Flight Nanny Service: Your puppy can fly in the cabin of a commercial airplane accompanied by a professional flight nanny who keeps the puppy under their care at all times. The puppy is met by you directly at your airport’s arrivals gate.

3. Shipping Costs All transportation costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Estimates for ground transport or flight nannies generally range from $400 to $1,000 depending on your location and seasonal airline rates. Exact quotes will be finalized and added to your final balance two weeks before the scheduled go-home date.

4. Weather and Health Delays The safety of our puppies is absolute. If extreme weather conditions (severe heat waves or winter storms) pose a risk to ground or air travel, or if our veterinarian advises delaying travel for health reasons, shipping will be rescheduled for the next available safe date.

Cancellation, Deposit & Refund Policy

1. Holding Deposits To secure your position on our waiting list or lock in a specific puppy, a deposit of [Insert Deposit Amount, e.g., $500] is required.

  • Non-Refundable But Transferable: All holding deposits are strictly non-refundable. Because we turn away other prospective families once a deposit is placed, this fee covers the administrative cost and hold status.
  • If a planned litter does not produce a puppy for you (e.g., fewer puppies born than expected), your deposit is fully transferable to our next available litter.

2. Order Cancellation

  • If you cancel your puppy reservation prior to the 8-week go-home date, any additional funds paid beyond the non-refundable holding deposit will be fully refunded to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery date will forfeit an additional [Insert Fee, e.g., $200] restocking/maintenance fee to cover travel arrangements and short-notice care.

Return & Health Guarantee Policy

Because our “products” are living, breathing family members, we do not offer standard retail returns or automated product exchanges. Instead, we back our puppies with a strict Health Guarantee and an Open-Door Return Policy.

1. Short-Term Health Guarantee & Vet Inspection You are required to have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession.

  • If your veterinarian certifies in writing within this 72-hour window that the puppy has a life-threatening illness or severe congenital defect present at birth, you may return the puppy to us immediately for a full refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping fees) or choice of a replacement puppy from a future litter.

2. Long-Term Genetic Health Guarantee We offer a [Insert Timeframe, e.g., 2-Year] Genetic Health Guarantee against crippling, life-threatening genetic defects (specifically severe hip/elbow dysplasia or genetic heart conditions covered under our contract). If a severe genetic condition is diagnosed by a certified specialist within this window, terms for replacement or medical care contributions will apply as outlined in your signed puppy contract.

3. Our Lifetime Open-Door Return Policy Life can be unpredictable, and circumstances change. If at any point during your Newfoundland’s life you find yourself unable to care for, housing-restrict, or properly maintain your dog, you must return the dog to us.

  • We promise to always take our puppies back, at any age, under any circumstances, to ensure they never end up in a shelter or rescue system.
  • Returns made under this lifetime clause outside of the initial health guarantee windows do not qualify for a monetary refund. Our priority is solely the lifelong safety and welfare of the animal.
